Why BioShade®?
BioShade®, incorporating BioCote® technology is safe and effective for 25 years. It doesn’t wear out or wipe off and provides a continuous decontamination effect.
How is BioCote® applied to BioShade® products?
BioCote® is economically engineered into the dye process of BioShade® fabrics; incorporated as a polymer for the wand-operated handle and is applied
as a powder coating to the track.
How effective is BioShade®?
BioShade® is effective against a wide range of micro-organisms, including MRSA, E.coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Legionella and Pseudomonas. BioShade® reduces levels of bacteria by up to 99.9% over a 24-hour period, with rapid bacterial reduction after the first two hours of contact.
How does BioShade® work?
The silver ions form an active concentration on the surface of the product. When microbes come into contact with the surface, the antimicrobial action of the BioCote® silver technology begins by inhibiting the activity of critical enzymes. As the enzymes cannot be used in the production of energy, the microbes are unable to reproduce and will die.
